Largs Golf Club
An 18-hole parkland course south of the town, established in 1891, with views over the Clyde to Cumbrae, Bute and Arran. Visitors welcome and tee times bookable online.
Largs Tennis Club
Tennis club with four floodlit artificial-grass courts at the sportscotland National Centre on Burnside Road. Social mix-in sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10:00–12:00, Monday 18:00–20:00 and Sunday 13:00–15:00; coaching for junior and adult beginners; club championships, box leagues and the Ayrshire leagues. Court bookings, for members and non-members, go through the centre’s reception. A registered charity (SC053297). Email largstennisclub@gmail.com.
Largs Thistle F.C.
Founded in 1889 and playing in the West of Scotland League Premier Division, at Barrfields Park.
Routenburn Golf Club
A short course above the town, par 68, with panoramic views over the Firth of Clyde to Arran and the Cumbraes. A small, friendly club — sloping greens, blind tee shots and fees they reckon are the cheapest for miles. Visitors welcome, and there's a bar and a pro shop on site.
sportscotland National Centre Inverclyde
A residential sports training centre in 86 acres above the town, taking group bookings for facilities and organised activities.
The golf training centre here closed permanently on 31 March 2026.
Vikingar!
A four-lane 25m pool and teaching pool, gym, the Viking Experience, Multiball and a café, alongside Barrfields Theatre. Run by KA Leisure.
